The Clerk gave an update on hedge cutting and a patch on the roadway that has been rectified.

Contractors happy with cemetery equipment at this time and no new equipment requested.

12) Moulton Ward

Cllr Hahn asked about hedge cutting outside a property. Concerned about the condition of the footpath in Broad Lane, Moulton. The Chairman suspended standing orders for CCllr Gibson to state Highways are due to attend to assess.

Cllr Hahn stated there is a lamppost Broad Lane where the light is covered by trees. Clerk to report again.

 

Park meeting update. Agreed to extend the current play area. Proposed by Cllr Kirk and seconded Cllr Wright.

 

Agreed to donate £300 to the Celebratory Committee towards the harvest weekend from the 2026/27 budget.

13) M S E Ward

Cllr Kirk agreed to install a new bench and statues. Clerk explained the bench is out of stock currently. Price to be agreed at a later meeting once it is back in stock.

Cllr Tomkins raised concerns about road signs that cannot be seen due to tree overgrowing over pavement from the village hall car park. Cllr Wright agreed to ask the committee via the WhatsApp group what their course of action would be.

Cllr Cooper explained he has had a complaint from a resident regarding poor parking outside the pub in the village on junctions. Discussed and agreed to bring it to Highways attention.

15) SID Report 

Highs of 60mph Station Road, coming out of Moulton. SID will now be placed on Fen Gate, Moulton Chapel.

 

16) Correspondence 

Village Voice 5th May. Agreed to publish the park extension, no dogs in play areas, litter and the council’s new email address.

Discussed in depth, resolved. Clerk requested that no correspondence is received direct to her from Cllr Wright or members of his family. Any correspondence from Cllr Wright is to go via the Chairman in future.
