Cllr Hahn informed councillors of a road sign that was covered in dirt at the top of Broad Lane. Cllr Sneath agreed to clean the sign himself.

12) Moulton Ward

Clerk gave an update on the play area, meeting with Playdales this month.

Clerk will forward letter to Longstaff that had originally gone to a property in the village about hedge trimming.

Pest control quotes discussed and agreed to ask Smith contractor to attend to the cemetery for the next 2 months and then all agreed to have three sites attended to on a yearly contract at £900 plus vat.

 

13) M S E Ward

Memorial flag pole repair discussed and Clerk to chase contractor.

Cllr Tomkins informed councillors signs still left outside the green next to the village hall.

Also, parking on pavement outside the play area Mill Marsh Road.

 

Cllr Tomkins thanked Cllr Wright for cutting the playing field grass and clearing gateway for walkers.

 

14) Moulton Chapel

Cllr Sanderson spoke of an incident on Fen Gate where a child from the children’s home had escaped and was walking/running in the middle of the road causing a hazard. Agreed the children’s home is a hazard and councillors shall object to any future applications for children’s homes on unsuitable roads.

Max speed of 75mph recorded on Bell Lane, Moulton.

Cemetery closure to be submitted into the Village Voice magazine.
